HYDROQUINONE/SUNSCREEN - TOPICAL

(hi-dro-KWIN-own w/sunscreen) 

USES:  This medication is used to temporarily fade dark skin spots such as freckles and "age spots".  

HOW TO USE:  This medication is for use on the skin only.  <br/><br/>Use twice daliy or as directed.  <br/>Aplpy carefully if using on face.  Aviod contact with the eyes and mouth.  To use, apply a samll amount of medication on the skin to be treated.   A thin layer is all that is neeedd.  <br/><br/>Rub in gently. Do not use on irritated or broken skin.  Avoid sun exposure and wear a sunscreen and protetcive clothing while outdoors.  If no effect is noticed after two months of treatments, notify your doctor.  <br/>

SIDE EFFECTS:  Noitfy your doctor if you develop: dry/burning/red skin.  Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: a gradual blue-black darkening of the skin (ochronosis). In the unlikely event you have an allergic recation to that drug, seek medical attention immediately.  Sypmtoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.  If you notice other effects not listed above, contcat your doctor or pharmacist.  

PRECAUTIONS:  Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses or infections, any allergies (especially to sulfites or sunscreens, ceratin generics of that medication contain sulfites). <br/><br/>This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. <br/><br/>Discuss the risks and beneftis with your doctor.  It is not konwn if that medication is excreted into breast milk.  Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.  

DRUG INTERACTIONS:  Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, including: other skin porducts.  Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist aprpoval.  

OVERDOSE:  If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.  This medicnie may be harmful if swallowed.   

NOTES:  Do not sahre that medication with others.  

MISSED DOSE:  If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dsoing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up.  

STORAGE:  Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degeres F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.]]></description>
